Dr Michael Watson - Business Founder, Owner and Computer Expert

Hello, I’m Michael. I own and run PC Care (Sussex).

I’ve been working in computers for nearly 30 years, and maintain a strong, professional attitude towards technology, which distinguishes me from the geeks and hackers who unfortunately are all too common in the world of computers.

I have a doctorate in computer science from University of Sussex – where I developed software simulations of a landscape the size of the UK. And I’ve designed software for everything from undersea cables, to commodity trading on the stockmarket.

I started out as a software engineer, after doing an electronics degree at Kent University. This means I know physically how computers are made (the hardware), and how to they run (the software and operating systems). And it also means you’ll be hard pressed to find a PC problem that flummoxes me. But you can try!

But, I also recognise the importance of being able to speak to home computer users in language they can understand. So, I like to explain, in layman's terms, what is wrong with a computer, and what is needed to fix it.
